Attack on Titan (Japanese: , Audrey Hepburn: Shingeki no Kyojin, lit. Hajime Isayama is the author and illustrator of the manga series "The Advancing Giant" in Japan. It is set in our current reality where humankind is compelled to reside in urban communities encompassed by three colossal walls that safeguard them from massive man-eating humanoids alluded to as Titans; Eren Yeager is the main character of the story, and he makes a promise to kill all Titans after they destroy his hometown and kill his mother. It was serialized in Kodansha's month to month magazine Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine from September 2009 to April 2021, with its parts gathered in 34 tankōbon volumes.

An anime TV series was created by Mind Studio (seasons 1-3) and MAPPA (season 4). From April to September 2013, a 25-episode first season aired, followed by a 12-episode second season from April to June 2017. The third season consisted of 22 episodes, the first 12 of which aired from July to October 2018 and the last 10 from April to July 2019. In December 2020, the final season, which aired 16 episodes in its first half, debuted. From January to April 2022, a second portion with 12 episodes and the third and final portion will air in two halves; the principal half debuted in Walk 2023, and the last part will debut in late 2023.

Attack on Titan is now widely regarded as a commercial and critical success. The manga had sold more than 110 million copies by September 2022, making it one of the best-selling manga series ever. It has been honored with a number of honors, including the Harvey Award, the Attilio Micheluzzi Award, and the Kodansha Manga Award.
