Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (鬼滅の刃, Kimetsu no Yaiba, "Cutting edge of Evil spirit Destruction"[4]) is a Japanese manga series composed and delineated by Koyoharu Gotouge. From February 2016 to May 2020, it ran in serial form in Shueisha's shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump. Its chapters were collected in 23 tankbon volumes. It was published simultaneously by Shueisha and Viz Media on their Manga Plus platform in English. Following the murder of his family and the transformation of his younger sister, Nezuko, into a demon, Tanjiro Kamado, a teenager, sets out to become a Demon Slayer.
From April to September 2019, a 26-episode anime television series produced by Ufotable aired.
