My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia is the author and illustrator of the superhero manga series Boku no Hr Akademia. Since July 2014, it has been serialized in Shueisha's shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump, and as of June 2023, 38 tankbon volumes contain its chapters. The story follows Izuku Midoriya, a boy who was born without a Quirk but still has dreams of becoming a superhero. It is set in a world where superpowers, or "Quirks," are commonplace. After recognizing Midoriya's potential and scouting him, the world's greatest hero, All Might, grants him his Quirk and assists in enrolling him in a prestigious high school for superheroes in training.

The manga was the inspiration for numerous spin-off manga, including My Hero Academia: Smash!!, Academia: My Hero: Vigilantes and My Legend The scholarly world: Multiplayer missions. Light novels, stage plays, and a variety of merchandise and media, including a trading card game and numerous video games, have all been part of the series. It has been turned into a Bones-produced anime television series. In Japan, the first season aired from April to June of 2016, followed by a second season from April to September of 2017, a third season from April to September of 2018, a fourth season from October of 2019 to April of 2020, a fifth season from March to September of 2021, a sixth season from October of 2022 to March of 2023, and a seventh season that will air in the near future. Additionally, three animated films with the title My Hero Academia: My Hero Academia, with Two Heroes: My Hero Academia and Heroes Rising: Mission of World Heroes, respectively. In addition, it has produced eight original video animations (OVAs), each of which is included in a limited edition of a number of manga volumes. Legendary Entertainment has plans for a live-action film.

Viz Media has licensed the manga series for North America, and the first volume was released in August 2015. Their digital Weekly Shonen Jump magazine published it simultaneously. On Manga Plus, Shueisha began simulpublishing the series in English. Crunchyroll has acquired licenses for the merchandise rights, home and broadcast distribution, and streaming services for the anime series. In May 2018, the English dub debuted on Adult Swim's Toonami programming block.

Several times on The New York Times bestseller list, My Hero Academia has become a huge commercial hit. The manga, including spin-off sales, had sold over 85 million copies by February 2023, making it one of the best-selling manga series ever. The manga's art, characters, storytelling, action sequences, and use of pop culture references to Western superhero comics have all received positive reviews from critics. the anime series has gotten extra acclaim for its activity, music, pacing, activity successions and voice exhibitions in both Japanese and English. Both the manga and the anime have received two nominations for Anime of the Year at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards and have won numerous awards, including the Harvey Award for Best Manga and the Sugoi Japan Award.
